If your liner happens to come out when pulling your hand out, fear not! This can happen because our lining is not sewn into the leather/waterproof membrane as this would mess with the integrity of the waterproof membrane.
Try this out:
-
Preheat the Oven:
- Set your oven to 200°F (93°C). Make sure the oven is not too hot, as excessive heat can damage the leather or waterproof membrane.
-
Prepare the Gloves or Mittens:
- Place the gloves or mittens inside the oven for 5 minutes. Ensure the black clasps are facing upwards (and not resting on the oven shelf) to avoid any direct heat damage to the clasps.
-
Remove and Reassemble the Liner:
- After 5 minutes, carefully remove the gloves/mitten from the oven.
- Pull the liner (inside) out (but do not remove it entirely from the glove/mitten). This helps the liner adjust back into place with warmth and flexibility.
-
Re-seat the Liner:
- For gloves, ensure you keep the fingers in their designated slots—don't turn them inside out.
- For mittens, slide your full hand inside to help the liner find its place.
- Carefully push the liner back into the glove’s cuff. Use a fist to help spread the fingers of the glove and mold it back into place.
-
Mold the Fit:
- To make the liner fit more snugly, clench your hands a few times while the glove/mitten is still warm. This will help mold the gloves in a way that mimics fitting a ski boot or mouthguard.
Pro Tip: When you go to remove the gloves or mittens again, pinch the middle finger or mitten tip. This helps to keep the lining in place as you take it off and prevents the liner from pulling out again.
